After downloading the skin, you decompress / extract user data in your file. This is usually depending on your operating system as follows: Win Vista / 7: C: \ Users \ \ Documents \ Sports Interactive \ Football Manager 2012 \ skins 
Win 2000/XP: C: \ Documents and Settings \ \ My Documents \ Sports Interactive \ Football Manager 2012 \ skins 
Win 98/ME: C: \ My Documents \ Sports Interactive \ Football Manager 2012 \ skins 
Mac OS X: / Users / / Documents / Sports Interactive / Football Manager 2012/skins 
If no folder exists, you must create it yourself. 
Folder should be no more skins folders infusse dark and infusse light. Now all that remains is to choose the skin from Preferences -> Display Settings.
